Put it on evergreen

Hi Reader,

Over the last few weeks, I've been sharing my tips for building a successful and profitable digital product business.

So far we've covered the first 3 steps:

Step #1 - Do proper market research

Step #2 - Start small... but plan big!

Step #3 - Launch properly

This week, let's look at Step #4...

Step #4 - Put it on evergreen

The launch problem

Right back at the start of this series I talked about how digital products can be a huge productivity booster.

But there’s a problem...

If you don’t launch, nobody buys.

Because people need deadlines.

They need reasons to act now instead of “someday”.

Especially when it comes to digital products.

So you end up stuck in a cycle:

Launch… sell… stop… launch again… sell… stop…

And suddenly your “productivity hack” starts feeling like a constant hustle.

So how do we solve this?

You solve this by building evergreen funnels.

This is where your product is available to buy all the time.

No waiting for your next launch.

No starting from scratch every time.

Instead, people are guided through your system automatically.

They sign up for your freebie…

They are then introduced to your paid offer in a structured way.

And finally they are presented with their own unique discount and deadline.

This is where your product ladder starts to work on autopilot.

A simple way to do it

There are lots of ways to build evergreen funnels…

(Some of them get very complicated, very quickly.)

But one of the simplest is a tripwire funnel.

It’s powerful because it keeps things simple…

But still turns new subscribers into paying customers quickly.

Here’s how it works:

  • Someone signs up for your free product (AKA your lead magnet)…
  • They immediately see a small, low-cost offer…
  • And if it’s relevant, they buy.

That’s it.

No big tech setup.

No complex automation.

Just a simple system that turns attention into revenue.

And the best part?

You can build a basic version of this in less than a day.

And once it's built, every new subscriber will see your tripwire and get a chance to buy your product with a deadline that's unique to them!

Get this right and it's almost like printing money!

Why this matters

This is what makes digital products feel like a real productivity asset.

Because you’re no longer relying on constant launches to generate income.

You’ve built something that works in the background…

Even while you’re doing everything else in your business.

Next week…

We’ll look at the final step:

Get creative with your traffic (quality > quantity).

Because even the best product + best funnel still needs the right people coming into it.

Happy digital product selling!

Eb 😊

Hi Reader, Last week we looked at the first step to creating digital products that actually sell: Step #1 - Do proper market research Because creating a product without first validating demand will almost certainly result in a product that totally flops! This week, let's look at Step #2... Step #2 - Start small... but plan big! Don't put all your eggs in one basket One of the biggest reasons bloggers struggle to make a good income from digital products is that they only create ONE product. If...

Hi Reader, When people think about productivity... They usually think about things like: To-do lists Time blocking Pomodoro timers AI But one of the biggest productivity hacks I've ever discovered has nothing to do with any of those things. It's digital products. That might sound a bit odd. Surely creating a digital product creates more work? Well... At first, yes. But only temporarily. Because unlike client work... Or sponsored posts... Or services... Or freelancing... A digital product can...
