Hi Reader, Over the last couple of weeks, I've been sharing my tips for building a successful and profitable digital product business. So far we've covered the first 2 steps: βStep #1 - Do proper market researchβ βStep #2 - Start small... but plan big!β This week, let's look at Step #3... Step #3 - Launch properly"I launched... but nobody bought." This is one of the most common frustrations I hear. Someone spends weeks (or months!) creating a digital product... Then they send one email. Post about it a couple of times on social media. Add it to their website. And... Nothing. The problem? That wasn't a launch. So what does a proper launch look like?A successful launch starts a long time before your product goes on sale. First, you build trust by consistently sharing valuable content. Then you start dropping hints that something exciting is coming. You build anticipation. You make people curious. Then, when launch day arrives, you don't just send one email... You show up every day for a week. You remind people why your product matters. You answer objections. You share wins. You keep the momentum going. And finally... You give people a compelling reason to buy NOW. A special launch discount. A deadline. A reason not to put it off until "someday". Why this worksPeople rarely buy the first time they hear about something.
A proper launch gives them all four. And that's why it consistently outperforms the "one email, a bit of social and hope for the best" approach. Next week...We'll look at Step #4: Put it on evergreen. Because once you've had a successful launch... You don't want the sales to stop! Happy digital product launching! Eb π P.S. Hi Reader, Last week we looked at the first step to creating digital products that actually sell: Step #1 - Do proper market research Because creating a product without first validating demand will almost certainly result in a product that totally flops! This week, let's look at Step #2... Step #2 - Start small... but plan big! Hi Reader, When people think about productivity... They usually think about things like: To-do lists Time blocking Pomodoro timers AI But one of the biggest productivity hacks I've ever discovered has nothing to do with any of those things. It's digital products. That might sound a bit odd. Surely creating a digital product creates more work? Well... At first, yes. But only temporarily. Because unlike client work... Or sponsored posts... Or services... Or freelancing... A digital product can...
