A surprising productivity hack...

Hi Reader,

When people think about productivity...

They usually think about things like:

  • To-do lists
  • Time blocking
  • Pomodoro timers
  • AI

But one of the biggest productivity hacks I've ever discovered has nothing to do with any of those things.

It's digital products.

That might sound a bit odd.

Surely creating a digital product creates more work?

Well...

At first, yes.

But only temporarily.

Because unlike client work...

Or sponsored posts...

Or services...

Or freelancing...

A digital product can carry on earning long after you've finished creating it.

It's the ultimate example of doing the work once...

And benefiting from it again and again.

That's leverage.

And leverage is one of the biggest productivity hacks there is.

But here's the catch...

Digital products only become productivity hacks if you create the right ones.

Do it well...

And you'll have an asset that earns while you're writing blog posts, spending time with your family or even sleeping.

Do it badly...

And you've just spent months creating something nobody wants.

That's not productivity.

That's expensive procrastination!

So over the next few weeks I want to share the simple framework I use to create digital products that actually sell.

  1. Do actual market research.
  2. Start small... (but plan big!)
  3. Launch properly.
  4. Put it on evergreen.
  5. Get creative with your traffic.

Let's start with step one…

Step #1: Do actual market research

This is where so many bloggers go wrong.

They create the product they think people want...

Instead of the product their audience actually needs.

In other words...

They guess.

And guessing is an expensive way to build a business.

Create a painkiller, not a vitamin

People don't buy "nice-to-have" products.

They buy solutions to problems.

They don't buy vitamins.

They buy painkillers.

So before you create anything, ask yourself:

What problem does this solve?

The more painful and urgent the problem...

The easier the sale.

But how do I know what my audience wants?

Simple.

Ask them.

It can be as easy as sending an email that says:

"What's your biggest struggle with [your niche] right now?"

The answers will tell you exactly what your next product should be.

Next week...

I'll explain why starting with a small digital product is one of the smartest things you can do...

But also, why you shouldn't expect one Β£17 ebook to make you rich!

Happy digital product creation!

Eb 😊
